Social Media Manager / Strategist

Contract in Chicago, IL - Senior

As a Social Media Manager & Strategist you are responsible for all things social media: content, copywriting, video, imagery, strategy, data analytics, and marketing campaigns. Furthermore, exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be natural born communicator with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations internally, with our client, and if needed with the community.

Requirements:

  • Performance marketing focused
  • Conversion, KPI, and revenue driven social media manager
  • 4-5 years of experience in an advertising and or public relations agency in roles focusing on Social Media
  • Proven work experience as a social media manager
  • Ability to work on and generate strategy for current and prospective clients
  • Ability to effectively schedule and manage postings (covering organic and paid)
  • Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
  • Excellent verbal communication and written skills
  • Hands on experience with social media management for brands
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Ability to write social captions across all current social media platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of creative/impact/brand
    • Working with a content strategist across captions/hashtags/imagery & creative performance discussions when needed
  • Reporting & analytics
  • Understanding organic social and how to increase reach, interaction, and other KPI's
  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
  • Implement successful performance driven social marketing campaigns
  • Work with our in-house creative teams to create engaging video, copy and photography assets for social media channels
  • Monitor / create a way of managing data and analysis to report and present on feedback / online reviews / metrics across the social media landscape in regards to current client’s under social media contracts
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Liaise with the brand to stay updated on new products and features
  • Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists
  • Work with our in-house creative teams to create engaging video, copy and photography assets.
  • Capability to, if needed, organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Community management
